Requirements
  • Certification as a Photogrammetrist according to American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing requirements.
  • Six years of experience in photogrammetry, including three years in a position of professional responsibility demonstrating professional knowledge and competence.
  • References from four people who hold or have held responsible positions in photogrammetry and have first-hand knowledge of the applicant’s professional and personal qualifications.
  • Declaration of compliance with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Code of Ethics.
  • Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify after accepting a job offer and completing Form I-9.
  • A resume detailing qualifications and work history is required.
  • A cover letter of no more than two pages addressing qualifications is required.
Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic information from control surveys, large-format aerial photographs, and light detection and ranging data using manned fixed-wing and rotary aircraft.
  • Plan and perform photogrammetric processes to develop engineering-design-level three-dimensional models, including digital elevation models, digital surface models, and digital terrain models, from aerial survey data.
  • Plan and supervise survey activities for control, specify photography or other imagery requirements, manage mapping or other mensuration projects, and interpret imagery and data.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registration as a Montana Professional Land Surveyor is optional.
  • Additional related work experience and education equivalent to the minimum qualifications may be considered.
